Riding lessons at Hawk Stone are always tailored to each individual rider and their personal goals. To help us do this we offer a variety of different lesson packages. Check those out below!
Private one hour lessons are one on one with the student and their instructor. Our instructors will take this time to focus on the riders specific needs or riding goals.
Private one hour lessons can include up to 35 minutes of unmounted horsemanship.
Group lessons are run with multiple riders in the hour lesson slot with their instructor. Group lessons require the rider to be able to walk and trot independently with control and the ability to regularly call their lines. They should be able to trot (both sitting and posting) with or without their stirrups. This maintains a safer riding environment.
A sibling riding lesson is offered for families with multiple children and consists of a 90 minute window of instruction. This lesson option includes up to 35 minutes of unmounted horsemanship.
One hour pony rides include petting, grooming, tacking up and riding around on the lead line with the instructor, untacking and learning how to safely give the horse cookies.
Private half-hour lessons are run for 30 minutes. This lesson type is for experienced riders who are capable of arriving early and staying after their lesson to properly care for their horse. Riders should be in the ring at lesson start time ready for a safety check or already walking and warming up.
